Tracy Brabin (born 1961, Batley, West Yorkshire) is an English actress and television writer. Brabin is best remembered for her roles as clumsy waitress Sandra opposite David Jason in A Bit of a Do (YTV), Tricia Armstrong in Coronation Street from 1994 to 1997 and Ginny in Richard Harris's Outside Edge. She has also appeared in EastEnders as Roxy Drake, The Ghost Hunter as Mrs Oliver (BBC television), and Love + Hate directed by Dominic Savage. In 2006, she appeared in an episode of Midsomer Murders entitled "Dead Letters". In 2008, she began to appear in a series of commercials for supermarket chain Sainsbury's playing the role of Sarah, a mother-of-two and Sainsbury's employee who does her weekly shopping at the store.[1] Brabin has written for Heartbeat, Family Affairs, Crossroads, Tracy Beaker, and was a writer on Hollyoaks for two years. With two feature films in development with Sally Hibbin at Parallax East, she is currently working on Shameless for Company Pictures. She appeared in an episode of Casualty aired on 18 April 2009 as April who died as a result of an accident. The role was her second appearance in the series, having played a different character two years earlier.
