Torre del Mar is a city on the southern coast of Spain located in the province of Málaga.^[1] The city is often chosen as a place for Europeans to retire. Torre del Mar also contains a small population of US citizens teaching at primary and secondary schools in the city and the surrounding towns and villages. The town belongs to the municipality of the Axarquía, whose capital resides in nearby Vélez-Málaga.

The city contains a strip of restaurants and bars along the waterfront referred to as "El Copo" (not to be confused with the restaurant of the same name.)
