Tony Martin (born 7 October, 1978 in Gladstone, Queensland) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer for the Crusaders Rugby League[1][2][3] in the European Super League he previously played for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats of Super League, having signed from New Zealand Warriors on 31 July, 2007.

Martin plays in the Centres, but can also operate on the wing. He was also a consistent goal kicker.

Off contract with London at the end of 1998, the Storm's signing of Martin before he was offered terms by the Brisbane Broncos was seen as a coup for the Melbourne club.[4] In 1999 he scored a vital try in Melbourne's victorious NRL Grand Final appearance.

Martin is famous for sporting his trademark scrum cap.

Tony Martin is eligible for the Queensland Maroons but a glut of fine centres have seen the tenacious and safe defender lose out on representative football.[citation needed]
