The Toledo Sports Arena was a 5,230-seat multi-purpose arena at 1 Main Street, Toledo, Ohio. It was built in 1947 and razed in 2007.

As a concert venue, the Sports Arena seated 6,500, and for theater concerts and stage shows, 4,400. The arena seated up to 8,250 for boxing and wrestling, and the arena was 33-2/3 feet tall.

The Sports Arena had been home to the following ice hockey teams:

• Toledo Mercurys (1947–1962)
• Toledo Blades (1963–1970)
• Toledo Hornets (1970–1974)
• Toledo Goaldiggers (1974–1986)
• Toledo Storm (1991–2007)

Attached to the Sports Arena was an exhibit hall that accommodates 30,000 square feet (3,000 m²) of space; when combined with the Sports Arena's 20,000 square feet (2,000 m²) of arena floor space, a total of 50,000 square feet (5,000 m²) of exhibit and trade show space. The exhibit hall accommodated up to 2,500 for concerts and meetings and 1,800 for banquets. In addition there were three meeting rooms totaling 5,000 square feet (500 m²) of space.

The Toledo Sports Arena held its final event on April 28, 2007. It was an extreme toughman event much like the UFC. The new arena is slated to be completed in October 2009 on the opposite side of the Maumee River, placing it in the center of downtown Toledo. Demolition took place in August 2007^[1] Early models of the new arena look similar to the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Lucas County is gunning for an 8,000 to 10,000 seat arena and hopes to get an Arena Football team as a permanent tenant in addition to the ECHL team. ^[2]
