Tim Alderson (born November 3, 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona) is a pitcher in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization.

Alderson was drafted by the San Francisco Giants 22nd overall in the first round of the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft. On July 29, 2009, Alderson was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for second baseman Freddy Sanchez.^[1]
