This article is about the actress-singer. For her self-titled album, see Tiffany Evans (album).
Tiffany Evans (born August 4, 1992) is an American actress, singer, songwriter, and dancer.
[edit] BiographyEvans was born on August 4, 1992 in Bronx, New York and is the middle child of 10 children to Lonnie Evans and Carl Evans. Before she achieved success, she and her family were homeless and living in their van for years. In February 2003, on her fourth Star Search appearance, Evans won the Grand Champion title in the junior singer division, becoming the only performer in "Star Search" history to receive perfect five scores on all of her appearances. In the competition, Evans competed against fellow singers Lisa Tucker and David Archuleta, both later appearing on American Idol. Tiffany has starred in an episode of Law and Order SVU, playing Blair Underwood's daughter. That same year, she sang for executives at Columbia Records and was quickly offered a deal. With her musical career already on the upswing, she landed a small role on CBS's "The District" and appeared in the 2005 film, Diary of a Mad Black Woman. [edit] MusicHer album was on released April 22, 2008.[1] A song titled "Girl Gone Wild" produced by Timbaland and The Clutch was included on the mix cd Tape masters Inc. - The Future of R&B Volume 14.[citation needed] Her first single "Promise Ring", featuring Ciara was featured as the "New Joint" on 106 & Park on July 24, 2007. The single has since made it on the countdown. To promote her debut album, she was featured on the Screamfest '07 tour. [edit] New albumTiffany is working on her second album, slated for release in early 2010. Evans describes this release as a coming of age project, which she calls an “emancipating experience”. “When I sat down with the record label, I told them I did not want to be limited in the type of songs I recorded this time around. I want to make music for every one. I describe this album like turning a radio dial and no matter what type of music the station plays, you can find a Ms. Tiffany record on the playlist.” In an effort to create a universal album, Evans went on to add "Any and everybody has a story. No matter the age, male or female - we all have stories, and I am willing and so ready to have all come into my life and see the reality on things. This album in my eyes is a classic, and I can't wait for the world to hear what's in store. Now that I have completely taken control of my career, and life, I have so much to release out of me. You have no idea." [edit] Discography[edit] Albums
