Thirumalaisamudram (Tamil: திருமலைசமுத்திரம்)is a village in Thanjavur taluk of Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu. It is located at a distance of 17 kilometres west of Thanjavur, 5 kilometres from Vallam and 39 kilometres east of Tiruchirapalli on the Thanjavur-Tiruchirapalli highway. It adjoins the neighbouring village of Vallam Pudursethi.

Thirumalaisamudram has risen in importance in recent years due to the emergence of Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy, a deemed university whose main constituent is an engineering college.The university covers most of the north-eastern part of the village. There are also a number of tea shops and restaurants adjoining the college.

As per the 2001 census, Thirumalaisamudram had a population of 2332 with 1445 males and 887 females. The sex ratio was 614 and the literacy rate, 75.13.
