The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights Finale, also referred to as The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale, was a mixed martial arts event that was held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on December 5, 2009.[4] Featured was the final from The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights in the Heavyweight division. Background A previously announced bout between Rousimar Palhares and Lucio Linhares was moved to UFC 107.[5] Linhares was a replacement for Alessio Sakara who had to pull out due to rumored visa issues.[6] Frank Edgar was expected to face Kurt Pellegrino on the card,[7] but Pellegrino was forced to withdraw due to an injury.[8] Matt Veach, who was previously scheduled to fight Mark Bocek on the event's undercard was named as Edgar' new opponent.[9] Results Preliminary Card - Bocek defeated Brammer via submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:36 of round one. This bout aired on the Spike broadcast after the Edgar vs. Veach fight.

- Stann defeated Wallace via unanimous decision. (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)
- Madsen defeated Wren via split decision. (30-27, 28-29, 29-28)
- McSweeney defeated Schoonover via TKO (Strikes) at 3:20 of Round 3. This bout aired on the Spike broadcast after the Jones vs. Hamill fight.
Main Card (Spike TV) - Mitrione defeated Jones via KO (Punches) at 0:10 of Round 2.
- Edgar defeated Veach via Submission (Rear Naked Choke) at 2:22 of Round 2.
- Slice defeated Alexander via unanimous decision. (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)
- Hamill defeated Jones via DQ (illegal elbow) at 4:14 of Round 1. Jones delivered a "12-to-6" vertical elbow that split open the bridge of Hamill's nose.[10]
- Nelson defeated Schaub via KO (Punch) at 3:25 of Round 1 to become the Season 10 Heavyweight winner of The Ultimate Fighter.
