Bryan Jones, better known by his stage name R.O.C., is an American rapper and producer from Detroit, Michigan. He is best known as a former member of the 2 influential horrorcore rap groups House of Krazees, and Halfbreed. Jones was also an associate of Blaze Ya Dead Homie. He was signed to Hatchet House, a sub-label of Psychopathic Records.
[edit] HistoryJones became interested in pursuing a career in hip hop music as a producer because of the production of Mike E. Clark and Esham.[1] [edit] House Of KrazeesIn 1993 Jones started House Of Krazees with Hetic and Mr. Bones. They would release 3 albums as a group plus an speical collectors edition CD with remixes before breaking up. Hetic and Mr. Bones would than become the group Twiztid and sign to Psychopathic Records. Jones would continue the HOK name with one more album with new member Skrapz before ending the House Of Krazees. [edit] HalfbreedJones would change his name to SoL and he and Skrapz would start the group Halfbreed. Their debut Serial Killaz gained them national attention and give the group Jones's first national record deal with Siccmade Muzsic. Jones, Skrapz, and Prozak would start up a new record label for independent hip hop in michigan called Virus Independent. Their National Debut/2nd LP "KontaimiNATION" gained Jones some national popularity that spreaded past Detroit. They would release one more album called "Rage Of The Plague" and a compilation album called "The End" before calling it quits. [edit] Level JumpersIn 2001 Jones and Skrapz along with Dialtone started a hardcore hip hop group called The Level Jumpers. They would only release 2 albums before Jones would leave Virus independent, a label he co-founded with Skrapz and Prozak in 2002 to reunite the Original HOK Lineup. [edit] HOK Reunion/Samhein Witch KillazJones and Twiztid reunited during the 2003 Mirror Mirror tour which would conclude at the first ever Fright Fest as the House Of Krazees performed on stage for the first time together as the HOK in 6 years. They would only perform one more time at the 2nd Fright Fest as the HOK lineup before starting up Samhein Witch Killaz which is House of Krazees reborn along with one new member. That member being Blaze Ya Dead Homie. During this time Joe Bruce kept bugging Jones to sign to Psychopathic. Jones aggreed to doing freelance work and did production in 2004 for psychopathic artists such as Anybody Killa and Blaze Ya Dead Homie. [edit] Welcome To The Darkside and RetirementIn 2006, Jones signed to Hatchet House, a sub-label of Psychopathic Records,[2] and released the extended play Welcome to the Darkside.[3] Following a period of inactivity, Jones officially announced that he had quit the music industry to focus on his home life.[1] However in 2009 Jones made his return to the stage helping out his brother Y.U.G in a show.
