The Actors Workshop is one of southern California's oldest film acting programs and is generally associated with the Sanford Meisner and Charles Conrad techniques.
[edit] OverviewThe Actors Workshop was founded in 1980 as a Voice Over recording studio and training center for aspiring Film/Television actors. In 1980 the workshop dropped its voice-over program and began concentrating solely on Film Acting[1]. In the first six months the workshop doubled its enrollment. The Actors Workshop, North Hollywood and Orange County, California remains under the direction of its founder R.J. Adams and son, director Rob Adams both working film and television actors. [edit] Studio FacilityIn early 1990, the workshop added a Television studio. Television and film directors such as Dennis Steinmetz, Richard Compton, Ron Stephenson, Corey Allen and Michael O'Herlihy made regular appearances at the school.
