The Academy is a World Class (formerly Division I) drum and bugle corps that competes in Drum Corps International. Founded in 2001, The Academy is based in Tempe, Arizona. The Academy competed at the Division II (now Open Class) level through 2006, winning the Division II championship in that year with a score of 95.625. The corps competed at the Division I/World Class level for the first time in 2007.
