[edit] "Category"-class and "list"-classSome other templates have a List-class (see Category:List-Class_articles), others have a Category-class (see Category:Category-Class_articles). In the cycling project, we don't have them. I would like to have them. All Category-class articles now are rated NA, and list-class articles are 'lost' in the rating process. I looked in the template itself, but it looks really difficult, so I'm afraid to mess something up... --EdgeNavidad (talk) 07:19, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

{{editprotect}} I'm slightly confused as to how this would "break the template pretty hard". It completely replaces it with the meta template. I wasn't actually completely explicit in what I wanted changed - basically replace the whole code with all the following code. I have tested this and haven't found anything untoward. If you have noticed anything, place be explicit. We can do without all the fields at the bottom though. {{WPBannerMeta |PROJECT = Cycling |BANNER_NAME = {{subst:FULLPAGENAME}} |small={{{small|}}} |nested={{{nested|}}} |category={{{category|μ}}} |listas={{{listas|}}} |IMAGE_LEFT = Cycling (road) pictogram.svg |IMAGE_LEFT_SMALL = |IMAGE_LEFT_LARGE = |QUALITY_SCALE = yes |class={{{class|}}} |FULL_QUALITY_SCALE = yes |AUTO_ASSESS = yes |auto={{{auto|}}} |IMPORTANCE_SCALE = |importance={{{importance|}}} |ASSESSMENT_CAT = cycling articles |ASSESSMENT_LINK = Wikipedia:WikiProject Cycling/Assessment |MAIN_TEXT = |MAIN_ARTICLE = cycling |PORTAL = Cycling |PORTAL_IMG = |MAIN_CAT = |ATTENTION = yes |attention={{{attention|}}} |ATTENTION_CAT = |INFOBOX = yes |infobox={{{needs-infobox|}}} |INFOBOX_CAT = }}<noinclude> [[Category:WikiProject Cycling templates|{{PAGENAME}}]] </noinclude> SeveroTC 16:45, 5 August 2008 (UTC) [edit] Future Class{{editprotect}} Same deal. I'm trying to create Category:Future-Class Cycling articles. There are more than 50 subcategories to Category:Future-Class articles, and I really think a cycling subcat is a fitting one. But I can't get articles to get into the category through the use of this template, so I think an edit is necessary. I'm not sure what that edit is, though, so hopefully someone can help me. Gee...thanks. And here I was hoping to get one of the people who came by previously to help you face_palm. No, seriously, thanks. Nosleep break my slumber 09:13, 8 May 2009 (UTC) [edit] Subst check{{editprotect}} Can we please add |substcheck=<includeonly>{{subst:</includeonly><includeonly>substcheck}}</includeonly> as per Template:WPBannerMeta/doc#Simple options to guard against substitutions rather than transclusions. The documentation has it just under |BANNER_NAME = Template:WikiProject Cycling Thanks, SeveroTC 16:50, 10 May 2009 (UTC) [edit] Mountain Biking task force support{{editprotect}} I propose adding the following the cycling template. I added the |tf group on, which provides support for the Mountain Biking task force within the Cycling Project. This will allow that task force to group and categorize its articles within Cycling. See the Cardiology task force's use of WP:MED's template for an example of how this will work. The parent wikiproject's banner (Cycling) will not change, except that for mountain biking articles there will be an additional line of text stating that it is supported by the mtn. biking task force. The extra lines below allow the mountain biking task force to use the same bot Cycling does to group articles based on quality and importance. Andyo2000 (talk) 18:03, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
As you didn't reply I used my initiative. The parameter is mtb - let me know if you want this changed. The {{WPMB}} is now using this template, so you can continue to use that one as a shortcut. (But the needs-photo note will no longer work because this one doesn't have such a note.) — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:49, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Trying to add importance assessment{{editprotect}} As we're one of the only Projects that doesn't have one. As suggested here, the edit seems to be |QUALITY_SCALE = extended |class= to |QUALITY_SCALE = extended |class= |importance= Hopefully it can be figured out what needs to be done.
