[edit] Addition of Special Needs Party

Regardless of the fact that Party for People with Special Needs is a red link, it should be included on this template. The party is recognized by Elections Ontario; exclusion of the party from this template indirectly implies that they are not. Inclusion of the party will provide a quick reference to current registered parties, and will be an easy comparison how parties fared after the 2007 election.

To the comment that "Usually red-links don't belong in templates", please indicate where on Wikipedia:Template FAQ or Help:Template that removal of red links is recommended. Furthermore, please refer to User:Electionworld/Parties - many political party templates do have red links. I have reverted the edits by User:GreenJoe, and to prevent an edit war, I would ask that the edits would not be re-reverted until this discussion has ended. Morgan695 02:47, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Electionworld is a user, it's not policy, or even a guideline. Red links don't belong in the template until the article is created. End of story. GreenJoe 03:49, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Historic parties

They're not all notable. GreenJoe 02:44, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

How so? They've all been elected to the OnLA (or in the case of 'Pre-confederation parties', were important Upper Canada reformers) and are therefore notable. Morgan695 03:18, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
