[edit] editsemiprotectedOkay... i propose we add a little bit more to the selection here. How about a mention of the primary place of worship, as in the city state in which it is worshipped. Athene is in Athens etc. So, below is the XY statement. |label10= Primary_Polis/City_State |data10= So, could an established user squeeze that in there. I think it adds an extra dimension to the real world aspect of the god/goddess. Calamitas-92 (talk) 04:17, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
[edit] removing polis fieldI'm removing the "polis" field from this infobox. Greek gods rarely have a "primary" polis--even Athena, whom some people might assume was especially associated with Athens, was a patron goddess in many Greek cities--Sparta, Lindos, and Argos, just to name a few. The infobox may give the impression that a god receives cult in only one city--but one of the things that makes a Greek god a god is that they're worshipped widely throughout the Greek world. --Akhilleus (talk) 03:51, 9 June 2009 (UTC) [edit] cleaning upI've just removed all the off-topic posts. Questions/requests about specific gods should be made on the talk pages of the appropriate articles, not here. --Akhilleus (talk) 03:03, 25 August 2009 (UTC) |
