[edit] Compressing this templateWould anyone mind if I replace this template with a compressed version. See, for example, the difference between Template:Places_in_Bedfordshire and this version. The idea is that on a given athlete's page, the template would show the other members of the relay team with links to a page for a member of the previous and next couple of gold medal teams. For example, from Ray Armstead's page (or any other member of the 1984 gold medal team) the template might look like:
with the reference in the source looking like
I don't think maintenance of such a template would not be particularly more difficult than maintenance of the existing template. Comments? -- Rick Block (talk) 03:04, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] USA DQ 2000?I thought this never actually happened, although it was discussed. Where is the citation that tells us that Nigeria are the 2000 olympic gold medalists? David D. (Talk) 15:41, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] template formatThe template was recently converted to the generic navbox template. I don't really care that much, but I prefer either the previous scrollable navigation bar or something like the current version of Template:Footer Olympic Champions 4x100 m Men. Any other opinions on this? -- Rick Block (talk) 00:03, 12 August 2007 (UTC) [edit] Nigeria? In the Sydney Olympics, Nigeria didn't win the gold. The US did.
