This template is used on 30,000+ pages, and changes to it will be widely noticed. Please test any changes in the template's /sandbox or /testcases subpages, or in a user subpage, and consider discussing changes at the talk page before implementing them.

If you must edit this template:

• If the changes are significant discuss it on the talk page first.
• Please give a detailed edit summary to explain what you're doing.
• Don't mark major edits as minor.
• Do the changes in a sandbox first and then paste them in a single edit.

Usage

Please note: This template should be transcluded ({{WikiProject Baseball}}) and not substituted (subst) because it employs conditional code. Transclusion also allows easy updating of all the Project's talk pages without having to edit thousands of pages.

Field descriptions

• class: Article options are FA, FL, A, GA, B, C, Start, Stub, List. For other pages includes: Image, Category, Template, Project, Disambig, Redirect, and NA. If blank, this will default to Unassessed. Descriptions of the options can be found at Wikipedia:WikiProject Baseball/Assessment#Quality scale.
• importance: Options are Top, High, Mid, Low, NA.
• small: Answer yes to make the template small and aligned along the right side of the page (as opposed to the top).
• attention: Answer yes if the page needs immediate attention; otherwise leave blank.
• image: Answer yes if the page needs images; otherwise leave blank.
• needs-infobox: Answer yes if the page does not have the required infobox.
• aid: Answer yes if the page is the current target of the article improvement drive.
• past-aid: Answer yes if the page was previously part of the article improvement drive.
• peer-review: Answer yes if the page is currently nominated for peer review by WikiProject Baseball.
• old-peer-review: Answer yes if the article has received a peer review from WikiProject Baseball.

The following parameters are task force specific.

• oldtime: Answer yes for articles relating to Old-time Base Ball. They then will come to the attention of the Old-time Baseball task force.
• littleleague: Answer yes for articles relating to Little League. They then will come to the attention of the Little League task force.
• player: Answer yes for articles on baseball players. They then will come to the attention of the Baseball Players task force.
• australia: Answer yes for articles relating to baseball in Australia. They then will come to the attention of the Australian baseball task force.
• japan: Answer yes for articles relating to baseball in Japan. They then will come to the attention of the Japanese baseball task force.
• korea: Answer yes for articles relating to baseball in Korea. They then will come to the attention of the Korean baseball task force.
• taiwan: Answer yes for articles relating to baseball in Taiwan. They then will come to the attention of the Taiwanese baseball task force.

The following parameters are for task force specific assessment and only need to be added to the task force in use.

• oldtime-importance: Options are Top, High, Mid, Low, NA.
• littleleague-importance: Options are Top, High, Mid, Low, NA.
• player-importance: Options are Top, High, Mid, Low, NA.
• australia-importance: Options are Top, High, Mid, Low, NA.
• japan-importance: Options are Top, High, Mid, Low, NA.
• korea-importance: Options are Top, High, Mid, Low, NA.
• taiwan-importance: Options are Top, High, Mid, Low, NA.

The following parameters are for project inclusion and only needed to be added if the project suits the article.

• college: Answer yes for articles relating to College baseball. They then will come to the attention of the WikiProject College baseball.
• angels: Answer yes for articles relating to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. They then will come to the attention of the WikiProject Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
• cardinals: Answer yes for articles relating to the St. Louis Cardinals. They then will come to the attention of the WikiProject St. Louis Cardinals.
• cubs: Answer yes for articles relating to the Chicago Cubs. They then will come to the attention of the WikiProject Chicago Cubs.
• dodgers: Answer yes for articles relating to the Los Angeles Dodgers. They then will come to the attention of the WikiProject Los Angeles Dodgers.
• mariners: Answer yes for articles relating to the Seattle Mariners. They then will come to the attention of the WikiProject Seattle Mariners.
• padres: Answer yes for articles relating to the San Diego Padres. They then will come to the attention of the WikiProject San Diego Padres.
• phillies: Answer yes for articles relating to the Philadelphia Phillies. They then will come to the attention of the WikiProject Philadelphia Phillies.
• reds: Answer yes for articles relating to the Cincinnati Reds. They then will come to the attention of the WikiProject Cincinnati Reds.
• redsox: Answer yes for articles relating to the Boston Red Sox. They then will come to the attention of the WikiProject Boston Red Sox.
• twins: Answer yes for articles relating to the Minnesota Twins. They then will come to the attention of the WikiProject Minnesota Twins.
• yankees: Answer yes for articles relating to the New York Yankees. They then will come to the attention of the WikiProject New York Yankees.

The following parameters are for project specific assessment and only need to be added to the project in use.
