Do not use this template unless there is an ongoing dispute. For suspected POV issues which are not disputed, consider the {{POV-check-section}} template instead. See Wikipedia:NPOV dispute for more info.

[edit] Usage

Place {{POV-intro}} at the top of the disputed introduction or lead section, then explain your reasons on the article's talk page. To specify the section of the talk page discussion, use {{POV-intro|talk page section name}}. Articles using this template as shown above are placed into Category:NPOV disputes.

This template can take an optional date parameter in the format {{POV-intro|date = <month> <year>}} or {{POV-intro|talk page section name|date = <month> <year>}}. If the date is not included it will probably be added later by a WP:BOT. Articles using this template with a date are added to Category:NPOV disputes from <month> <year>.

• This template is a self-reference.

• Please do not subst: this template.
