Project banner

The {{Film}} project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of every article within the scope of the project. While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has a number of optional ones that add various extra features to the banner. The full syntax is as follows:

General parameters:

• small – "yes" if the banner should be rendered in its miniature size; this should be used sparingly and only on crowded talk pages for the time being
• class – a rating of the article's quality; see the assessment department for more details

Future release parameters:

• futyear - year of release (should be formatted as yyyy)
• futmonth - month of release (can be formatted as full name, three-character abbreviation, or digits)

National and Regional Task forces:

• American-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the American cinema task force
• Argentine-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the Argentine cinema task force
• Australian-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the Australian cinema task force
• Baltic-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the Baltic cinema task force
• British-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the British cinema task force
• Canadian-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the Canadian cinema task force
• Chinese-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the Chinese cinema task force
• French-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the French cinema task force
• German-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the German cinema task force
• Indian-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the Indian cinema task force
• Italian-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the Italian cinema task force
• Japanese-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the Japanese cinema task force
• Korean-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the Korean cinema task force
• NZ-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the New Zealand cinema task force

General Task forces:

• Awards-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the Film awards task force
• Festival-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the Film festivals task force
• Filmmaking-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the Filmmaking task force

Genre Task forces:

• Christian-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the Christian films task force
• War-task-force – "yes" if the article is supported by the War films task force

Needs and requests:

• needs-image - "yes" if the article needs an image, such as a poster or on-set photo
• needs-infobox – "yes" if the article needs an infobox added or updated

B-Class checklist (available only for articles rated as "Start-Class" or "B-Class"—see the assessment department for more details):

• B-Class-1 – "yes" if the article meets criterion #1 for B-Class status; "no" if it does not
• B-Class-2 – "yes" if the article meets criterion #2 for B-Class status; "no" if it does not
• B-Class-3 – "yes" if the article meets criterion #3 for B-Class status; "no" if it does not
• B-Class-4 – "yes" if the article meets criterion #4 for B-Class status; "no" if it does not
• B-Class-5 – "yes" if the article meets criterion #5 for B-Class status; "no" if it does not

Reviews and collaborations:

• A-Class – indicates the status of the article's A-Class review, if any; see the A-Class review instructions for more details
• old-peer-review – "yes" if the article was previously listed for peer review by the project
• past-collaboration - "yes" if the article was a previous Collaboration of the Week

To avoid needlessly cluttering up talk pages, it is usually appropriate to remove any unused parameters from the template.
