Usage

The {{ChristianityWikiProject}} project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of every article within the scope of the project. While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has a number of optional ones that add various extra features to the banner. The full syntax is as follows:

Template display formatting parameters

• small - show the normal or reduced size template; shows the reduced size template if small=yes.
• pre - for pre-independence articles; changes flag image to a map of sub-continent if pre=yes.

General parameters

• class – a rating of the article's quality; see the assessment department for more details.
  • FA - The article has reached Featured article status.
  • FL - The article has reached Featured article status.
  • A - Could be submitted as a Featured article candidate; probably could use some small updates to make it Featured quality.
  • GA - The article has reached Good article status.
  • B - Could be submitted as a Good article nominee; probably could use some updates or may lack some features from the Good article criteria, but it presents a good overview of the subject.
  • Start - The article is more than a stub, but may lack some important aspects of the topic's discussion.
  • Stub - The article is a stub; it likely contains one of the Christianity stub templates.
  • Needed - The article does not yet exist but has been identified as a subject that should be covered.
  • Disambig or Dab - The article is a disambiguation page.
  • Redirect or Redir - The article is a redirect page.
  • Template - The page is a template.
  • Category or Cat - The page is a category.
  • Image or Img - The page is an image.
  • List - The page is a list.
  • Portal - The page is a portal.
  • NA - The page is not an article and should not be rated; it could be a template, image or category, for example.
• importance – a rating of the article's importance; see the assessment department for more details.
  • Top
  • High
  • Mid
  • Low
  • N/A - which should be used for all Templates, Categories, and other non-article pages
• portal – if the article is used in the selected article queue of the Christianity Portal, the subpage number of its entry.
• attention – "yes" if the article requires immediate attention; this should be used sparingly.
• orphan – "yes" if the article is not currently supported by any of WikiProject Christianity's daughter projects.
• needs-infobox – "yes" if the article lacks an infobox, otherwise remove this line.
• auto – "yes" This parameter is for bot-use.

Wikiproject specific parameters

• Anabaptist – "yes" if the article is supported by Anabaptist work group
• Anglicanism – "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Anglicanism
• Calvinism – "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Calvinism
• Catholicism – "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Catholicism
• Charismatic Christianity – "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Charismatic Christianity
• china-work-group - "yes" if the article is supported by the Christianity in China work group
• christmas - "yes" if the article is supported by the Christmas task force
• Church of the Nazarene – "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Church of the Nazarene
• Eastern Orthodoxy – "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Eastern Orthodoxy
• holidays - "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Holidays
• Iglesia ni Cristo – "yes" if the article is supported by Iglesia ni Cristo work group
• indian-work-group – "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Christianity in India(work group)
• Jehovah's Witnesses – "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Jehovah's Witnesses
• Jesus – "yes" if the article is supported by Jesus work group
• Latter Day Saint – "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Latter Day Saint movement
  • LDS-work-group – "yes" if the article is supported by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints work group
• Lutheranism – "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Lutheranism
• Messianic Judaism – "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Messianic Judaism
• methodism-work-group – "yes" if the article is supported by Methodism work group
• Oriental Orthodoxy – "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Oriental Orthodoxy
• Quakers – "yes" if the article is supported by WikiProject Religious Society of Friends (Quakers)

• theology-work-group - yes if the article is supported by the Theology work group.

To avoid needlessly cluttering up talk pages, it is usually appropriate to remove any unused parameters from the template.
