Career highlights

Tayte Pears (born 24 March 1990) is an Australian rules footballer currently playing for Essendon in the Australian Football League. He played his first game in round 4, 2008. He played as a forward in his early days and eventually played centre-half back at the age of 16.[1] So far in his 2009 season, he has played the role of a key position defender taking on big dominant forwards such as Daniel Bradshaw, Jarryd Roughead and Justin Koschitzke. In round 13, Pears was nominated for the AFL Rising Star award while playing on Brendan Fevola[2]
