The Tasaday are an indigenous people of the Philippine island of Mindanao. They are considered to be Lumad along with the other indigenous inhabitants of the island. In the 1970s it was thought that the Tasaday was a remnant of a stone age culture. Today that status is widely considered a hoax, although controversy remains.^[1]
