[edit] Injured? What are the statistics on those injured by the war on terrorism, not only those killed? --Procrastinatrix Here you can find the US injuries of the Iraq War: [1] wich is 27,186 and here is Afghanistan [2] wich is 16,36. The Honorable Kermanshahi 18:15, 9 August 2007 (UTC) I've added the number of wounded but I rounded the numbers and put ~ in front because otherwise we woudl have to update it every day. The Honorable Kermanshahi 09:22, 10 August 2007 (UTC) [edit] Marked for deletionThis whole article was blatantly made by a kid. Washington sniper deaths included here? C'mon. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sapperhutch (talk • contribs) 22:54, 28 July 2008 (UTC) [edit] A few issues1) Three out of four sources for the Afghanistan civil casualties section are irrelevant as they only discuss the casualties from the bombings, not the rest of the war. Therefore I removed them.
[edit] Unreliable sourcesI have tagged the article as having unreliable sources as it cites other Wikipedia as sources. I have looked at a few of those articles used as "references" and they don't have references themselves. Please use reliable sources and use them directly in this article. If you are taking statistics from another Wikipedia article you should take the source that they use on that page and replicate it here.--Sir Anon 03:22, 9 November 2007 (UTC) [edit] Niger Mali insurgencyPlease see Second Tuareg Rebellion: this is an ethnic/political insurgency, which has burst into the open at least three times since 1900. This cannot be placed under the rubric of the "War on Terrorism". I'll refrain from editing the article, as it seems to be regularly maintained by a group of editiors, but these references should be removed. Note: these insurgencies are quite distinct from the abu-Syaf / "Al-Queda of the Magreb" group. T L Miles (talk) 17:17, 24 March 2008 (UTC) [edit] Issues
[edit] Afghanistan and Iraq ‘Fronts’ need to be separateSome nations are involved in one and not the other Chwyatt (talk) 12:12, 19 August 2008 (UTC) [edit] Removal of the word ‘Front’Listing them as ‘Afghanistan Front’, ‘Iraq Front’, ‘Thai Front’, ‘Columbian Front’ etc suggests that these are all co-ordinated, which they are not. Some nations are heavily involved in one, and not at all on others. And even within US policy, there is arguably no policy co-ordination of all these ‘fronts’. [edit] No connectionThere is no connection between the Beltway Snipers and any recognized terrorist movement. As such it should not be included (unless you include all other mass shooting incidents during the same periord). There is no connection between the Anthrax attacks and any state recognized terror group. The US government presented evidence that strongly supports the argument that it was a lone actor, who was probably unstable. If you include him, you should include Eric Rudolph and any other lunatic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.122.153.133 (talk) 22:48, 5 September 2008 (UTC) [edit] No link between the beltway snipers and any know terrorist groupThe beltway snipers were not part of a terrorist movement, and their motivations were not the same as the other groups listed here. There is also no proof that the Anthrax attacks were anything other than a domestic terrorist attack. If you include it, than the Oklahoma city bombing and the attacks carried out by Eric Rudolph should be included as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.122.139.36 (talk) 17:24, 16 February 2009 (UTC) [edit] Why?Why are the casualties for Iraq and Afghanistan amalgamated? Geo Swan (talk) 16:08, 12 April 2009 (UTC) [edit] Complete MessThis entire article is a mess. Problems: (1) All the information is out of date. There appears to be know updating process. (2) None of the information is sorted. An entry will simply state '[x] casualties', so it is impossible to go back and cross-check it for more information (3) A sizeale number of entries cite other Wikipedia articles, which isn't exactly Grade-A referencing material, unfortunately I'm going to start trying to go back section-by-section (small sections first) and try to clean some of this up, as it's a complete mess. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Gaijin Ninja (talk) 04:05, 27 December 2009 (UTC) | ||||||||||||||||
