[edit] VFD ResultThe result of the VFD can be found here: Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/The Lambeth Walk -- AllyUnion (talk) 04:29, 10 Feb 2005 (UTC) [edit] Lambeth WalkThere is actualy a part of Lambeth called "Lambeth Walk" in the north of the London Borough of Lambeth (in or near the effra delta) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Alec - U.K. (talk • contribs) . I removed the claim of 'unremarkable' for The Walk (as it is known locally). The fact that Lambeth Walk was well-known as an archetypal working class street market meant that the musical's references were not lost on the theatre-going public - even if they hailed from Mayfair. In spite of The Walk having been blighted by several urban renewal projects over the years there are still a small remnant street market and vestiges of its association with the musical (some shabby murals in the market square). Unfortunately, there's not enough of the old Walk to satisfy the occasional lost tourist with the song stuck in his or her head.
