[edit] RecommendationsJust a note for the cleanup process that Wikipedia should not be making any nutritional recommendations, because Wikipedia is not a doctor and this would not be NPOV in any case. Any third-party recommendations that are reported should be well-referenced and evaluated with regard to the consensus opinion of medical professionals. Considerable care must be taken, lest harm come to someone getting bad advice. -- Beland 14:16, 4 November 2006 (UTC) Overall this page looks good but at times it seems a little boring, or information is after-the-fact. Perhaps tighten up the initial description of what sports nutrition is and create a new, more descriptive section down the page. You have a lot of good information here that all seems to be correct and well referenced, just try to make the page more pleasing to the eye! Awesome job so far, I like how you have listed the different types of sports nutrition and the procedures needed for certain effects on the body! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mpeebles (talk • contribs) 02:49, 25 March 2009 (UTC) [edit] Peer ReviewThis is a good start to your article. I like the level of detail you go into when discussing the use of carbohydrates and how they relate to both anaerobic and aerobic exercise. All and all I feel the introduction is extremely helpful and provides a clear understanding as to what to expect in the rest of your article. I have a couple suggestions: the first is to perhaps add a section describing exactly what substances or foods can be consumed to aid with nutrition uptake. Perhaps you can make a section that just lists some of the more popular foods and diets that contain more specific details. Also what about making a section about poor sports nutrition. Like what is harmful or which substance seem beneficial but actually aren't to take after exercise. It looks good you just need more sources. Have you tried search the UNC Library's cite I am sure there are several databases that deal with health related issues and would be helpful for your article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Deichman (talk • contribs) 17:51, 25 March 2009 (UTC) [edit] Peer review 2Strengths

Depolomd (talk) 02:43, 8 April 2009 (UTC) [edit] Peer review 2Good article! I really like all the different things you have listed under “See also.” • Under the goals sections I think it would be helpful to separate the goals by bullet points. • Under the Nutrition for anaerobic exercise, I think this section could be helpful if you did a few things in particular. o Define glycogen stores o And maybe even give some examples of some high glycemic index carbs (even though the link shows this I think mentioning a few on the page would be helpful). o It would also be helpful if you included a link to anaerobic exercise and aerobic exercise. Helping the reader see what those various things mean will help your article and especially those two sections. Great work though! (Sjperry (talk) 14:52, 8 April 2009 (UTC)) | ||||||||||||||||
