In light of Katrina, I think this article needs to clarify more on who a resident is. The way I see it, if I'm gone from home temporarily, then I'm still a resident of the place that I'm away from for the moment. What does the Census say about this? -Amit

Trying to find article/entry on what residents are called in various cities, towns, states, countries, regions, etc. For example, just the other day, I learned that residents of Los Angeles are called "Angeleans" or something to that effect. This could be a very fun article if someone wants to take it on.

The part of the article concerning residency in Malta needs to be cleaned up. As it is, there are double negatives and the flow of the narrative does not make sense. I do not know the original intent of the author or the factual information regarding residnecy in Malta myslef, and as such, can not fix the comment.

Although the meaning of establishing or maintaining domicile may be the most important use, the topic and the article are not particularly encyclopedic and are outweighed by the aggregate importance of other meanings of residency presented at Residency (disambiguation) (e.g., Residency (medicine), Residency (country subdivision)). — AjaxSmack 14:21, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

This article has been renamed from Residency to Residency (domicile) as the result of a move request. At the same time, residency (disambiguation) has been moved to residency. Please note that this has created a great many links to a disambiguation page that formerly pointed at an article.
