[edit] Birthplace

The editor of al-Bitruji's On the Principles of Astronomy notes that "His name would indicate that his forebears came from the town of Pecroches, north of Cordova." Another source associates him with Seville. In either case, he appears to be Spanish, rather than from Morocco. --SteveMcCluskey 02:47, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
