 | National Autistic Society has been fairly neglected for the last three years: by the observation of the article's History tab it is discovered that: - It has mostly appeared like an advertisement.
- There was a high level of bias with some evidence of POV-pushing.
- There was and still is, lack of citations.
Noting that a wealth of information about the history and activities of the NAS is available expert attention is needed to bring this article to Wikipedia standards: and a reminder that Wikipedia is not a social-networking site. Cheers. --Marianian (talk) 21:09, 8 January 2009 (UTC) | |

[edit] Looks like an Advertisement
I've placed a Template:Advertisement in this article because by my view, it is written like an advertisement. A good Wikipedia article should commentate on what organizations do, and to let the readers decide their own opinions. Additionally some parts should be written from a neutral point of view. Please revise such that it does not fall into one of the four types in WP:SOAP. Thanks! --Marianian (talk) 15:35, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Article needs improvement
I do not believe that this article is at a satisfactory state at the moment, as it is lacking the following points:
Neutrality: The General Public Help section still appears as an advertisement. There isn't any coverage on opinions of the press, or third opinions if applicable. Telephone numbers and email address are not supposed to be put into an article.
Expertise: This article lacks any background or history. There are no significant points in the history of this charity.
Wikification: This article has little use wiki-links to other articles.
Lead section: i.e: What is the National Autistic Society? When was it founded?
Please revise this article heavily so it is at a neutral point of view, and do not write this article like an advertisement. If there is any problems in editing this article (conflict of opinion or risk of edit war), please contact an administrator. --Marianian (talk) 08:14, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
- I am having a go. I know nothing about it, however, so cannot add constructive content. Baccyak4H (Yak!) 15:26, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- OK, it looks somewhat better. I took off a couple of the tags as well, but kept some as it still could use some work. Sourcing would be nice. Baccyak4H (Yak!) 15:36, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- took a go at it. the only source I've used so far is the orgs own website. I'll go google for newspaper articles Dreamingkat (talk) 21:41, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- Looks pretty good now. While some additional information could be added, I think the tone issues are gone and it doesn't read like an ad so much any longer. Removing those tags. --Lendorien (talk) 14:53, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- It does look like that the Schools and facilities section may be split off to become a list if it becomes long enough. What do you think? --Marianian (talk) 09:19, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
- At this point, I don't think the article is long enough or containing enough information to warrent splitting it. Maybe if it significantly expands, but for now, I think it'll do as stands. --Lendorien (talk) 14:15, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Assistance
If I put this article under the scope of a few WikiProjects then I think we may get more attention. --Marianian (talk) 21:09, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
- Not the right kind of attention, I'm afraid. Jolly Ω Janner 13:23, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
