Some of them are living in Mizoram, and that's it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lpachuau (talk • contribs) 02:37, 12 June 2009 (UTC) [edit] Mizo does not means Hill PeopleContrary to popular believe, the official book published by the Study Group of Arts and Culture Department, Government of Mizoram - Mizo History in India, Burma and Bangladesh mentioned that the word MIZO must have some deeper and ancient meaning. After reading this, I study the word formation and naming system of Mizo language. Wild animal means 'SA', Human means 'MI' or 'MIHRING'. So, to name a particular animal like Tiger, Horse, Bear, etc., we say Sakei, Sakawr, Savawm, repectively. And, to name a particular tribe/community like White, Black, Brown people, we say Mingo, Midum, Mibuang respectively. Mirawng for Kabui Naga, Miria for Miu-Khumi. So, 'Mi' must means 'people' (with no doubt), but what will 'Zo' means? Surely, 'Zo' is adjective part of the word.
