[edit] Wikipedia:Caribbean Wikipedians' notice boardI would like to announce the establishment of the Wikipedia:Caribbean Wikipedians' notice board. Anyone with an interest in the Caribbean is welcome to join in. Guettarda 1 July 2005 13:37 (UTC) [edit] Actual flagThe actual region flag is here; I love MARTINIque. I'd include it myself, but I'm not sure whether to remove the unofficial snake flag entirely or where to put it if not. Any comment from the regular editors of this article? —Nightstallion (?) 16:31, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Formatting errorIn Mozilla Firefox at least, it seems that the edit boxes have been pushed around to where they aren't supposed to be. Is there an easy fix for this? [edit] Proposed WikiProjectThere is now a proposed WikiProject for the Caribbean area, including Martinique, at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals#Caribbean. Interested parties should add their names there so we can determine if there is enough interest to start such a project in earnest. Thank you for your attention. Badbilltucker 17:01, 13 December 2006 (UTC) [edit] Creole_PatoisYou have to realise that patois means jargon or differing dialect..In France patois has negative connotations..the non-standard varieties of French were called patois as mockery..so please refer to it as Antillean Creole Domsta333 11:02, 9 March 2007 (UTC) I do agree : "patois" is extremely pejorative in French. Créole is not a "dialect" of French, but an independant language with his own grammatical system - even if it uses many French words (but English does too...). Please, change this link for "Creole language". --Hubertgui (talk) 09:16, 24 July 2009 (UTC) [edit] Plagiarism!!The entire history section, bar the last sentence, on this article has been lifted word for word from the following website : http://ti2009.onera.fr/node/10 As there is already an article on the history of Martinique, I shall be deleting this section unless anyone objects. The website is not even cited. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alexllew (talk • contribs) 16:09, 6 August 2008 (UTC) [edit] MartiniqueMartinique has a volcano called Mantagne Pel'ee —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.23.201.222 (talk) 21:49, 18 February 2009 (UTC) [edit] Ok aritcle mentions EURO has Island of Martinique on it.
