[edit] Conflicting Information
I have learned from a broadcast of Hidden Chicago on PBS that the term Cafeteria was coined in Chicago. Yet, this article states that is of Spanish origin and coined in Los Angeles and another claims that it was coined in New York (Hutchinson Encyclopedia) Ishmael Rufus (talk) 06:27, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] America-centered
This article is really US-centered, it says nothing about dutch-style cafetaria's... Someone should write something about that. --62.251.90.73 28 June 2005 18:15 (UTC)
Is Michigan State University's cafeteria system really special enough to warrant its own section here? I think not. Teflon 12:21, 7 May 2005 (UTC)
- Is there a reason all the external links are to MSU websites? Gentgeen 22:15, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
- I'm guessing the person writing it was an MSU student, and those are the sources he had.
[edit] Spanish Cafeteria
I dont think that link is really anything to do with this article. Here in Spain a "cafetería" is a café or coffee shop elsewhere. Not the same thing at all as what this article is about. Rosa.blaus 09:13, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Pictures in this article
I took the liberty to remove one picture. In my opinion it was not a very good one because most of it was the back of a chair and the floor. Please put back if you like but an alternative would be better. Miguel Andrade 16:15, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disambiguation
Shouldn't this article be Cafeteria without the (structure) part? I understand that there is an organism named Cafeteria, but really, wouldn't most people be looking for the structure anyway? If the genus does ever get its own article, we can link it from the top of this article. Do we really need a separate disambiguation page? Lusanaherandraton (talk) 21:32, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- No, you're quite right, we don't. Creating the redirect has caused a load of misdirected internal links to the new dab page rather than to the original cafeteria article. I started fixing them, then engaged my brain properly and realised the only sensible solution was to send the original article back where it came from and disambiguate at the top of the page. I'll sort it out (and undo my dablink "repairs", ho hum). Karenjc 17:35, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Requested move
I've checked with the user who created this page and the dab page at Cafeteria, and he's fine with the proposed move back, so I've requested the move at Wikipedia:Requested moves. --Karenjc 19:13, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
- Sounds reasonable. With two candidates, it's enough to say For the microscopic organism, see Cafeteria (bicosoecid) and Cafeteria roenbergensis. on top of the article. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 20:22, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
- Moved successfully. I think I fixed most of the links. Kopf1988 (talk) 20:50, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
