[edit] What is the best way to cite common usage?

In my part of the U.S., this style is called "pigtails" instead of "bunches." What is the best way to cite this? I imagine that it might be mentioned obliquely in newspapers, etc., but that's not the sort of thing one can quite run a search for. This interpretation of the word isn't rare. Upon plugging "pigtails" into Google, more than half of the image results show people with unbraided hair: [[1]]Darkfrog24 (talk) 13:14, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit] I found a source, but...

This website ([2]) looks a little bloggy to me, but it is a pretty complete discussion of the way the term "pigtails" is used. What is the best way to structure the citation? Darkfrog24 (talk) 01:32, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Here's another source that's not quite the New York Times, latest-hairstyles.com: [3]. Darkfrog24 (talk) 01:50, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
