[edit] Wikipedia:Wikiproject Artix Entertainment

I have recently created a Wikiproject Called Wikipedia:Wikiproject Artix Entertainment. If you guys could join and help out that'd be awesome! We really need help with starting some Artix Entertainment related Articles. Thanks! :^) §†SupaSoldier†§ 01:53, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Wikiproject under new management since March of 2008.

ɫ§Veonyx§ɫ ~Talk to Me~~My Acts~ 01:22, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Archived

I have archived the talk page. Will get to the Dragonfable page in a few days.

ɫ§Veonyx§ɫ ~Talk to Me~~My Acts~ 01:19, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

There's not much of a need right now - I'd wait till there around 30-40 posts. Unless we want to keep an on-going archive where we do part at a time and then add more to it later. That could work. Also, you generally don't archive discussions that were recently posted on. --Eruhildo (talk) 02:31, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Overloaded server

A question: even if you have an adventurer character in a guardian account, does it bypass the server? Captain | contribs 11:40, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

I should have kept that portion on. Check the archive. It does allow you to bypass the server.
ɫ§Veonyx§ɫ ~Talk to Me~~My Acts~ 18:40, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Maybe I should try it sometime. I'll see if it works. Hehehe...Captain | contribs 02:14, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
I have tryed it on my Guardian account. How do you think I know :D.
ɫ§Veonyx§ɫ ~Talk to Me~~My Acts~ 17:24, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
I don't know. I have access to my friend's X-guardian account although I forgot the password. I'll create one as soon as I get my memory back. :DCaptain | contribs 03:33, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Z-Tokens

I don't see how Z-Tokens fit for Guardianship at all. If it were Upgrades like Mechquest and Dragonfable pages, it could go under but Z-Tokens have nothing at all to do with being a Guardian except the extra boost of 300 Z-Tokens. --Den5328954 (talk) 23:52, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Den5328954

You're right. Could you please fix that? I don't have the time to do it myself right now. --Eruhildo (talk) 15:57, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Header

How are we suppose to include 3rd party sources when battleon isn't that big yet? ɫ§Veonyx§ɫ ~Talk to Me~~My Acts~ 00:03, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

We may not be able to find any for a while, but I'll look around for some next week. --Eruhildo (talk) 01:17, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
This is obviously going to me a major problem for the project later. Good third-party references are almost non-existant. We can't produce something that doesn't exist, so what is it we're supposed to do? I'm as confused about this as the rest of you might be. --Netaviofhell (talk) 18:38, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

After every battle, once in a while, you can get 1 to 10 Z tokens. Unfortanly, you rarely get them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lelet (talkcontribs) 23:55, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Vampireslayer Name Change

I really see no proof that Vampireslayer was changed to Shadowslayer. Can someone hand me any proof. Plus, it hasn't changed in game either. I asked on the Forums and they say it has not changed either

Den5328954 (talk) 22:31, 11 May 2008 (UTC) Den5328954

If it's not in the game and hasn't been announced in the design notes, then it's not true. --Eruhildo (talk) 03:41, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
Its been announced on the forums - by the staff members - that Vampireslayer, due to The Sweep will get changed to Shadowslayer. But first when the Sweep reach tier 2 classes, wich is in progress. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.162.158.110 (talk) 09:19, May 18, 2008
The preceding comment isn't signed or varified, so should we just ignore it? --Netaviofhell (talk) 18:39, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Not at all. I went ahead and looked up who posted it and signed it for them. For some reason IP users often don't sign. I guess they don't know they should. Besides, it's easy to verify their claim by just checking the AQ forum, I just prefer to trust people. --Eruhildo (talk) 04:13, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
It's true. The name has not yet been changed officially, however. It will be changed when the class is swept. You can find my proof in a Devourer cutscene. Cenara references the class as "Shadowslayer." Abreus Shadowsbane (talk) 05:09, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Isle D'Oriens

Shouldn't it be mentioned under towns? It serves much of the same function as those - a hub for quests, shops and NPCs. Chanamel (talk) 16:41, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Very true, I believe it should be added.
ɫ§Veonyx§ɫ ~Talk to Me~~My Acts~ 20:10, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Uber and Epics?

I don't think we need that list. some people will never get them and some never heard of them. I vote that we don't need it. Special:Contributions/Den5328954 (talk) 03:40, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

I also vote against.
ɫ§Veonyx§ɫ ~Talk to Me~~My Acts~ 20:09, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

I vote to keep the list.Huntsmanguy (talk) 19:25, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism

OK, so I haven't been on Wikipedia all that long, but how much vandalism is a lot of vandalism? This article has been vandalised six times in the past two days, and it's barely even noon where I live. How much vandalism does there need to be before it's bad enough to need to protect the page? Alinnisawest (talk) 15:18, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

It looks like it may be enough to bring it up with WP:RFP. Can't hurt to try - at the worst they'll tell you "no". ^_^ --Eruhildo (talk) 03:43, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
Have you done it yet? Otherwise, I'll go post there. Alinnisawest (talk) 18:36, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
Never mind, we have semi-protection! For three months!' Thank goodness, maybe now there won't be vandalism every time I log in! Alinnisawest (talk) 19:07, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Heavy Knight armor.

I've noticed someone on the Adventure Quest page keeps putting down Normal Knight Armor and Heavy Knight Armor. There is no such thing as Heavy Knight Armor. There is only Knight Armor! Huntsmanguy (talk) 19:29, 28 June 2008 (UTC) Huntsmanguy (talk) 19:29, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Okay, just make note of such things in your edit summary. --Eruhildo (talk) 03:49, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] class mistakes

In unrealesed classes, summoner, illsionist, and cleric have not been confirmed to come out. There is also no evidence there will be a ranger quest.Although they say there is going to be one since the start of the game, there is no evidence of work done for this class. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nickblademaster (talkcontribs) 22:03, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

There is no evidence of work, but it was stated in-game.
A quote from my Forums Guide, which was taken from Warlic's Mage speech:
"Q. Where did you get the unreleased class information?
A. Warlic says it when introducing Mage Class and I quote:
“Warlic: Once you learn the basics of magic and become a mage, you will be able to seek further knowledge in other realms of magic, such as:
Warlic: Summoning, high wizardry, black magic of necromancy, white magic of clerics, and illusionary magic.”
In addition, Garbs, not Garb, and Robes, not Robe.
Shamanking100 (talk) 21:13, 18 July 2008 (UTC)Shamanking100
In general, we don't include info on unreleased classes. --Eruhildo (talk) 02:52, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
May I ask why? As a few others are there. Shamanking100 (talk) 09:41, 20 July 2008 (UTC)Shamanking100
Lack of data mainly, I think. That and the fact that they have little-to-no importance to the game until they're implemented. I think we discussed it a while back on one of the other talk pages (think it was DragonFable's), but I could be wrong. I rarely, if ever, play AQ, so I can't go through and clean up the class list. Plus I'm in the process of writing a set of guidelines for AE related articles. I don't really feel like making lots of changes like that till I get them done and confirmed with the other project members. Speaking of which, if you plan to be a regular contributor to this article, you should consider joining our WikiProject. --Eruhildo (talk) 23:25, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

(outdent) Yeah, I think it was about the paladin and necromancer classes. People kept adding them with unconfirmed information, so finally I think we said not to do it any more until they actually were released for testing or more information was given on the DNs or something. Which seems like a good policy to me- if you don't have information on something, how can you add it accurately? Alinnisawest (talk) 17:15, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Oh good, I didn't just make that up in my head. I'll add that to my slowly growing list of project guidelines. --Eruhildo (talk) 23:48, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
There was a weird edit in the Elements Section: "The pattern of weaknesses is typically, but not always." Not a complete sentence, not sure what to change it to. Shamanking100 (talk) 02:21, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I saw that too. I have no idea what it's supposed to mean so I removed it. The whole article could use a major trim down really. --Eruhildo (talk) 16:07, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Houses

I added the houses on the list . It is right , isn't it ? -- User : Andra2404

Yes, it was right. I have tweaked it to include the brand new estate info. This has been long overdue. Thanks!

[edit] List of Characters of AdventureQuest Merging

I do not think it's necesarry . AdventureQuest's article is already too long and AdventureQuest has many characters . —Preceding unsigned comment added by Andra2404 (talkcontribs) 16:13, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

I agree this article is too long. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to clean it up myself. Once the character list has been trimmed down to just main characters and this article has been cleaned up, I don't think merging them will be a problem. --Eruhildo (talk) 05:38, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
While I agree with the sentiment, I must ask how main characters would be defined in a game such as Adventure Quest. The character of Zorbak tends to pop up often, but his character is more comic relief than central to any story. Galrick was a major character in the latter parts of the Devourer Saga, but his character had virtually no presence outside of the those quests and cutsceens directly tied in with The'Galin's arrival. Is Artix a major or minor character? What about Galanoth? Cyrus? Safira? Wolfwing? Cerena? Twilly? The clan leaders of Paxia? The list goes on and on. And with the exception of Twilly, all of the aforementioned characters have had story segments devoted to them. The problem, however, is that most of those story segments don't share a common ground which would unify them. So the question again becomes how we define "main" characters in a game as non-linear as Adventure Quest? 141.166.234.196 (talk) 05:40, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
I would say that if a storyline is available for a player who has started playing at any point in time (in other words part of the permanent storyline), it is probably part of the main storyline. Though I agree that AQ is rather non-liner as far as RPGs go. As for who counts as a major character, that's a little hard to say. Let's discuss that on the project talk page. --Eruhildo (talk) 03:31, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism ~ Once Again!!

I came to get information on the RPG AdventureQuest and all that was on the page was TYLER IS STUPID!!!. I am not sure who erased all the information on the page and put that, but I do not think that it is appropriate and it seems as though this has happened before. Therefore, I was wondering how many times does it take for a page to be vandalized before it is protected?

Since I am new at editing Wikipedia, I felt it was necessary to leave a message here and let the expert Wikipedia editors and those that know the game get rid of it and re-edit the page. Thank You (。◕‿◕。) --Pugpugsley (talk) 18:04, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

I restored the article and send warning messages to the two vandalisers.--Megaman en m (talk) 18:08, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
Vandalism happens - some people out there are just jerks. Looking through the history, I notice that vandalism has picked up again, so I put in a request to have this article semi-protected. We'll just have to wait to see if they think it's been bad enough. --Eruhildo (talk) 17:03, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

Prana and Apana are two complementary types of movement coming from the core of the body. Prana is the upward, expanding, blossoming movement characteristic of inhaling. It is said to be centered in the Anahata Cakra (Heart center). Apana is the downward, contracting, rooting movement characteristic of exhaling. It is based at the center of the perineum, the Muladhara Cakra. Apana is said to tether Prana. Yoga begins by consciously uniting Prana and Apana, to feel their actions within each other. Prana is breath, life force, inner breath; prana is the substratum of perception. Prana is the substratum of thought, or chita. It is the way that perception is organized into patterns and it is only through patterns and organization that you know something, that you are consciously aware of something. So prana becomes intelligence, which is called budhi in Sanskrit, which comes from the root bud, which means to wake up and so it is the energy of waking up. What does waking up mean, but coming out of a state of mind that is like a dream. And so awakening or waking up is coming out of a framework of awareness like fantasy.
