[edit] Those old news briefs

I remember back in the 1980s when ABC ran news briefs during breaks from programming. There was even a sports brief (done by Dick Schapp) and a business brief. These briefs always had me associate ABC News with the 1980s. And also, what about the old Weekend Report? If you don't believe the importance of mentioning ABC's prior use of briefs, how come briefs are mentioned in the CBS News article? SOMEONE PLEASE GET THE FACTS AND POST ABOUT THIS UNFORGETTABLE SEGMENT OF ABC NEWS. -Amit

Such scheduling information as is listed in the article is 100% arbitrary by the managers of the TV networks, and the information is subject to be changed at any time at all. The Wikipedia is not a "TV guide" of a cuckoo clock, and such transitory and readily-changeable information does not belong here. I have seen other such items places in other Wikipedia articles, such as railroad schedule information. Such things are non-encyclopedic and unsuitable for placing in the Wikipedia. For Pete's sake, next people will be posting the weather forecasts in the Wilipedia.

"ABC News programming is shown daily on the 24 hour news network Orbit News in Europe and the Middle East. This includes several shows from ABC News. It's also available online at ABC News Now.

"ABC's World News appears regularly at 1.30 am local time on BBC News Channel in the UK, which itself may be simulcast on BBC One or Two during the overnight period. Commercials are removed as the BBC's UK services are financed by a license fee. ABC and the BBC also share video and reporters as needed in producing their newscasts.

[edit] Non-neutrality controversy ?

Ongoing complaints of ABC political bias were echoed by critics pointing out an ABC News headline (since removed from ABC's News Web site) describing Palin as a "Pitbull" and the following day placing rapper P. Diddy's video about Sarah Pailinrun on 10/3/2008 on the front page of the ABC News website with the video title on the ABC site: "I'm afraid of Sarah Pailin". Critics point out that ABCs [lack of?] journalistic neutrality and obvious support of one candidate over another come into focus with news coverage like this. P. Diddy has a history of implying that Pailin is racist despite the fact that her husband is of Eskimo descent and her children are bi-racial.
