[edit] Title permutations

There seems to be quite a lot of speculative content on this page. Why are we doing previews? Wikipedia isn't a preview magazine. --Falcadore (talk) 06:58, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

  • I personally don't see why they were removed. It said in the history page "This has no place here, we are not a prediction website", the second bit I do agree with, WP:CBALL, however I don't feel that the title permutations should have been removed because of it. These aren't predictions or speculations that are comparable to the driver/team rumours that are (and should be) being deleted. It is a FACT that Jenson Button could win the WDC on this race or it will continue onto Brazil, and it is worthy of mention as to how either of these scenarios could be acheived. [edit] Contents

Not quite sure, but why is the contents box not showing up?? (most likely a stupid question!) --Troggy3112 (talk) 21:11, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

Because there are only two chapters. Need more than that. --Falcadore (talk) 21:28, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
Cheers, I knew it was silly. --Troggy3112 (talk) 21:45, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit] # 2.1 Qualifying Session 1 # 2.2 Qualifying Session 2 # 2.3 Qualifying Session 3 # 2.4 Grid

I think these tables are a waste of space, as their information is already contained in the table in section 2.5. Should be removed imo. - ARC GrittTALK 15:44, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Grid is not out

http://www.formula1.com/news/features/2009/10/10046.html <- FIA say grid will be released on Sunday. Until then, the grid listed here is incorrect - Either Sutil should be P9, with Alguesuari P8, or Alonso should be P16. This grid is unsourced, and the uncertainty as to the order of applying penalties means this is incorrect. Along with the fact that the grid listed here isn't reachable by any consistent application of the penalties given. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.31.66.210 (talk) 16:22, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Adjusted Grid

Because half a dozen drivers have received penalties, one is starting from pit lane and another is injured, the normal qualifying table is very confusing. As such, I've added a one-time-only deal: an adjusted gird that shows the order everyone is lining up in. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 01:28, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Isn't that duplication of data already listed in the qualifying table? Are folks completely unable to read the other table? --Falcadore (talk) 01:31, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
It's simply for the ake of making it easir to read.Prisonermonkeys (talk) 03:51, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
Still its stats creep, and I'm uncomfortable in starting yet another table. --Falcadore (talk) 08:48, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Glock's grid position

It's important to clarify that, while Glock did not take to the grid and as such, had no actual grid position, his qualifying position is still valid. In other instances, we have to show theoretical grid positions to clarify whether the grid has closed up, or left a gap. In this case, 20th and last makes no real difference, but we have to be consistent. For drivers who did not appear on the grid, we usually put the "grid position" in brackets. It's already very clear that Glock did not start. Bretonbanquet (talk) 18:40, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
