Takht or Takhat is the Persian word for throne. But may also refer to:

• Takht, temporary seat of power or throne of authority in Sikhism
• Takht, the representative musical ensemble or orchestra, of Arab music.

The Takht is a raised platform on where the Guru Granth Sahib (the holy book) is laid on to show respect to the book as it is higher than the people that are worshiping.
