Taiyuan University of Science and Technology (simplified Chinese: 太原科技大学; traditional Chinese: 太原科技大學; pinyin: Tài yuán kē jì dà xué) is a university in Shanxi, China under the authority of the provincial government. it is in the city of Taiyuan.

Formerly Known as Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Institute, in 2004, with the approval of Ministry of Education, the University changed its name into Taiyuan University of Science and Technology (TYUST).
