Taiji Ishimori (石森太二 Ishimori Taiji) (born February 10, 1983) is a Japanese professional wrestler currently working for Pro Wrestling Noah.
[edit] CareerIshimori was trained in Toryumon Mexico. He was given a pop idol gimmick and intended to become the ace of his graduating class, even going so far as to release an album to support it. The fan interest never matched his hype, however, and Ishimori became one of Toryumon's bigger failures. He worked for the short lived promotion dragondoor as the top face, and once again failed to get over with the fans. Ishimori won the UWA World Welterweight Championship on May 11, 2003 beating Super Crazy. Ishimori defended the UWA World Welterweight Championship 2 times vs Fuerza Guerrera on August 31 2003 and vs Yossino on December 7, 2003. He worked as a freelance wrestler for NOAH until signing a contract with the company. Taiji is a longtime Tag Team Partner of Kenta and they wrestled many shows together while working towards winning the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship. They received a title shot, but lost the match. After Taiji signed the contract with NOAH, they won the Tag Titles on March 20, 2008. Taiji and Kenta went to Dragon Gate and defeated the team of BxB Hulk and Shingo Takagi to bring the Jr. Tag Titles back from Dragon Gate. [edit] In wrestling
