For the TV channel, see TeenNick.
TEENick was a television block aired on Nickelodeon that was launched in 2000, and owned by Viacom's MTV Networks. The teen-oriented programming block took the position of SNICK, which started in 1992. It aired on Sunday nights and some Saturday nights. It was originally hosted by Nick Cannon and then by J Boogie. Effective February 2, 2009, TEENick went off the air. On September 28, 2009, TEENick returned to the air as TeenNick, a 24 hour channel replacing The N, which had been on the air since Nick GAS left the air December 31, 2007. TeenNick relaunched in place of The N on September 28, 2009. [edit] HistoryTEENick premiered in 2000, when J Boogie started hosting TEENick the block added a segment titled, TEENick Spin the Bottle, after the teen-oriented block took over SNICK (the network's long-running Saturday-night program block). SNICK was ultimately replaced by TEENick, and at that time TEENick began to play a variety of shows. On February 2, 2009, Nickelodeon removed the TEENick branding from the block (the programming comprising the blocks will still remain) and announced that it would re-brand The N as TeenNick, which occurred on September 28, 2009. It is likely the schedule will remain as it has been with the rebranding with some new programming. On June 18, the brand new TeenNick logo was unveiled at Nick Cannon's TeenNick launch party. [edit] ShowsShows are listed by the time they were on TEENick during its run as a programming block on Nickelodeon.
