TD Ameritrade Park Omaha[3] is the new baseball park in Omaha, Nebraska, that is currently under construction. It will be the home of the College World Series after the NCAA signed an agreement to keep the CWS in Omaha until 2035 if the ballpark was built. Originally the stadium was to be the home of the Omaha Royals of the Pacific Coast League, but the team will now be moving to a smaller, more intimate ballpark in Papillion in Sarpy County. The ballpark will have a capacity of 24,000 people, with the ability to expand to 35,000 spectators, and will open in spring 2011. It will replace Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium as the home of the CWS. The Creighton University baseball team will also play there.[4] The ballpark will cost $128 million[5] to construct and will be located near the Qwest Center Omaha.

Groundbreaking for TD Ameritrade Park occurred January 21, 2009.[5]

It was announced on June 8, 2009 that TD Ameritrade, a company based in Omaha, will carry the naming rights for the new stadium. [6] The official announcement came from TD Ameritrade's Chief Executive Officer Fred Tomczyk on June 10, 2009.[7]
