Agona Swedru is a town in Ghana. It is the capital of Agona district in the Central region. It is known for its humorous local dialect(fante) and also known for producing some renowned Ghanaian musicians. The Agona District is also known for some renowned personalities in and out of Ghana who are making life in various parts of the world. It has some excellent and prime hotels like Greenland hotel(3 - star), Ntiamoah Hotel (2 - star) and various rest house suites like cottage hotel, jabez hotel, humility lodge and Naatoa Hotel. Also known for the involvement of its vibrant youth in education, Agona Swedru has a population of about 200, 000 people
