Svyatoshyn (Ukrainian: Святошин) is a formal district and neighborhood of Ukraine capital Kiev. Its current population is 360,000 inhabitants.

The name Svyatoshyn is derived from the nickname of Prince Svyatoslav Davydovych[1] of Chernihiv, Svyatosha (meaning godly, religious), who received the neighbourhood as gift in the twelfth century. Literally, the name can be translated as "property of Svyatosha". Later, it became a large village to the west of Kiev. Since 1939, Svyatoshyn is a part of Kiev. It remains the center of Kiev-Svyatoshyn formal district of Kiev Oblast. The neighborhood was connected by metro in 1970 when the Sviatoshyn station was opened.

Several industries reside in Svyatoshyn, including the Antonov aircraft manufacturing and services company complex.
