| Susana Chou, (Chinese: 曹其真; pinyin: Cáo Qízhēná; born December 1941 in Shanghai, a native in Ningbo, Zhejiang) was the President of the Legislative Assembly of the Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR) of the People's Republic of China.[1] [edit] Biography Chou's hometown is current Yinzhou District, Ningbo of Zhejiang Province. Chou was born in Shanghai in December 1941, and was the oldest daungther of Chao Kuang Piu, who is an industrial tycoon in Shanghai then in Hong Kong. Chou studied physics and majored in radio technology at the Anhui University. Chou also studied French language and literature in Paris. [2] [edit] Politics Under the rule of Portuguese government in 1976, Susana Chou participated in Macao the first Legislative Council direct election, and the success of the election. Since then, since 1984 to 1999, she served in third, fourth, fifth and sixth sessions of Macao's Legislative Assembly. After the handover on December 20, 1999 Chou was the first to be elected to the Legislative Assembly as the President of Legislative Assembly for first, second and third session.
