The Super League Dream Team is an award given to the players deemed to have been the best in their position in the European rugby Super League by members of the sports press.
The inaugural Dream Team was back in 1996 and coincided with the start of Super League and the move to a summer rugby season.
The award is generally devoid of bias towards the big teams, with performers from the lesser teams getting slots in the Dream Team over the years. It also shows no bias towards the large number of Antipodean imports.
