Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight (2010 ストリートファイター^?) is a sci-fi-themed action platform game released by Capcom for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990. It was marketed as a futuristic sequel to the 1987 arcade fighting game Street Fighter and had its plot rewritten for its English localization in order to establish a connection between the two games.

The player takes control of Ken, a retired martial artist turned scientist who has artificially enhanced his body with cybernetic implants known as "bionics". The objective is to defeat the designated target (or targets) identified at the beginning of each area in order to gather the required energy to open the warp gate to the next area. Ken can shoot a variety of energy shots with his arms and legs, as well as other acrobatic techniques, through various button and directional pad combination. Ken can pick up power-ups to increase his firepower and shooting range, as well as an option capsule that provides back-up fire and a "flip shield capsule" that makes him invulnerable while doing a flip jump. There are a total of 19 areas, spanning five different planets.

In 2010, mankind's technology has advanced to the point that anyone can easily travel from one planet to another through the use of interplanetary warp gates. During the 25 years since he won the Street Fighter tournament, Ken has retired from his martial arts career to become a gifted scientist, developing a new substance called "Cyboplasm" that grants superhuman strength to any living organism that it is administered to. When Ken's lab partner Troy is murdered and the Cyboplasm is stolen, Ken decides to bring Troy's killer to justice by implanting his body with bionics, as well as an interdimensional transporter, in order to follow the killer's trail, who has left traces of Cyboplasm in each of the planets he has visited.^[2]^[3]

While on the trail of Troy's killer, a mysterious entity begins to taunt Ken, warning Ken to return home. As he gets closer to the killer, Ken begins to feel a strange sensation of pain in his body. Ken eventually confronts the killer, who is none other than Troy himself, having faked his death. Troy stole the Cyboplasm in order to spread it across the galaxy in order to create an army of superhuman warriors loyal to him. Troy also reveals that pain in Ken's body is being caused by a dose of Cyboplasm he implanted into Ken while he was unconscious. After defeating Troy, Ken returns to Earth in order to contain the continued spread of Cyboplasm, which has now become an epidemic.

The English localization of Street Fighter 2010 changed the main character's identity and back-story in order to imply that he is the same character as Ken from the original Street Fighter, having retired from his martial art career after winning the tournament. In the Japanese version, the main character is actually named Kevin Straker (ケビン・ストレイカー^?), a cyborg policeman employed by the Galaxy Police (ギャラクシーポリス^?) to neutralize a breed of interplanetary super-criminals known as "Parasites" (パラサイト^?), whose abilities are drastically improved over regular humans and aliens due to an armored parasitic insect that has been implanted into their bodies. The character of Troy was originally called Dr. Jose (Dr.ホセ^?), the scientist responsible for creating the parasitic organisms used to turn people into "Parasites". Before the final battle, Dr. Jose reveals that Kevin is actually a "Parasite" created by him, having implanted one of his insects into Kevin's head before having him infiltrate the Galaxy Police, and that the cybernetic armor on Kevin's body was actually the created by the parasite implanted within him. Other than the identities of the main characters and the story, the game itself is otherwise identical between the two versions.
