Stephen John Schmoll (born February 4, 1980 in Silver Spring, Maryland) is a Major League Baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He bats and throws right-handed. Schmoll graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park. In 2000, he played for the Bethesda Big Train. He pitched for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2005. On January 4, 2006, the Dodgers traded Schmoll and Duaner Sanchez to the New York Mets for Jae Seo and Tim Hamulack. Schmoll signed with the Washington Nationals for the 2008 season after being released by the Mets in spring training. After his short stint with the Nationals did not pan out, Steve decided to stay in the DC area and work for the IRS. [edit] External links
