File:P4270059.jpg Entrance to Roble Gym Roble Gym was designed by Bakewell and Brown and built in 1931, and originally meant for women’s athletics. Roble Gym was run by the Athletics Department for almost seven decades, hosting a variety of athletics and fitness classes. Now called Roble “Studios,” the building has begun its transformation into the Drama Department’s performing arts complex. Currently, the Dance Division is planning $20 million renovation plans that will transform Roble into a dynamic performing arts center. The planned upgrade includes costume shops, stage shops, theaters and practice studios for rehearsals, all of which are in line with the Dance Division’s commitment to teach world dance and performance techniques.
