Stephane Beauregard (born January 10, 1968 in Cowansville, Quebec) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender. [edit] Playing careerWinnipeg's 3rd choice, 52nd overall, in 1988 Entry Draft. Traded to Buffalo Sabres for Dominik Hasek and future considerations, June 15, 1992. Traded to Jets by Chicago Blackhawks for Dominik Hasek and future considerations (draft pick Eric Daze), August 10, 1992. Traded to Philadelphia Flyers for future considerations, October 1, 1992. Traded to Jets by Philadelphia Flyers for future considerations, June 11, 1993. Came to the Jets for the first time as a draft choice from the St. Jean Castors. Mixed among his three stints as a Jet was time with the Philadelphia Flyers, and was property of the Buffalo Sabres and Chicago Blackhawks, but most of his career was spent in the minor leagues. Guy Lafleur was his childhood idol. He also played for the San Francisco Spiders in their only season of existence (1995-1996). Stephane filled in for an injured Wendell Young to lead the Chicago Wolves to their first Turner Cup in 1998 (1997-98 season). [edit] External links |
