On January 22, 2009 it was announced that Anderson University (South Carolina) will join the South Atlantic Conference on July 1, 2010. Anderson fields 13 sports sponsored by the South Atlantic Conference. The school’s teams are known as the Trojans. In addition to the 13 SAC-sponsored sports, the Trojans also field teams in wrestling and men’s and women’s track and field. <http://thesac.athleticsite.com/article.asp?articleID=1217>
