Slobodan Kačar (born September 15, 1957) is a retired Serbian boxer, born in Perućica near Jajce in today's Bosnia and Herzegovina, then SFR Yugoslavia. He won the Light Heavyweight Gold medal for Yugoslavia at the 1980 Summer Olympics. He is the younger brother of boxer Tadija Kačar, who won a silver medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics. Gojko Kacar a Serbian international footballer is his nephew. [edit] Professional highlightsKačar turned pro in 1983 and won his first 21 fights, including a victory over Eddie Mustafa Muhammad to capture the vacant WBA Light Heavyweight Title.
