General Sir William Anson, 1st Baronet KCB (1772–1847) was a general in the British Army noted for his service in Peninsular War The Anson Baronetcy, of Hatch Beauchamp in the County of Devon, is a title in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom. It was created on 30 September 1831 for William Anson. He was the third son of George Anson; his elder brothers were Thomas Anson, 1st Viscount Anson and General Sir George Anson.[1] Anson was a British Army general who fought in the Peninsular War.[2] [edit] References
